Market Deeping care home chef up for award

Chef Chris Beeby has been selected as a finalist for the prestigious Care Home Chef Award at the regional 2020 Great British Care Awards.

Chris has been the chef manager at Rose Lodge Care Home in Market Deeping since January 2019 and has been nominated for his high standards and creative approach.

The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events throughout the UK and are a celebration of excellence across the care sector. The purpose of the awards is to pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.

“We are delighted that Chris has been selected as a finalist at the GB Care Award in the East of England Region,” said Country Court head of hospitality Anwar Kajee. “Chris and his team at Rose Lodge work hard to come up with creative and delicious menus for our residents, we are delighted that his hard work and commitment has been recognised with this nomination.”

Chris has many years of experience in the catering industry but has found working in care by far the most rewarding and loves the challenge of keeping people excited to come to the dining room every day. He said: “I am very excited to have been chosen as a finalist at the GB Care Awards. I love getting to know all the residents and preparing food that I know they’ll enjoy."

The winners of the East of England Region Great British Care Awards will be announced at an awards ceremony in April 2021 at The East of England Arena in Peterborough.
