Hewies Chocolate Shop and Tearoom in Donington closes its doors

The owners of a chocolate shop have thanked their customers for their support following their decision to close.

Hewies Chocolates has been serving up fine confectionary, afternoon teas and cakes since opening in Market Place in Donington, before the pandemic.

But owners Ash Anderson and Samantha Anderson-Hewie took the decision to close on February 25.

In a statement, they said: “Unfortunately, we have had to close permanently due to health and the economy.

“It’s just one of those things.”
