Spalding Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Society ( SADOS) to perform Agatha Christie’s thriller The Unexpected Guest at the South Holland Centre




A thrilling play which is set to send chills down your spine will performed this weekend.

Spalding Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Society ( SADOS) is set to perform Agatha Christie’s The Unexpected Guest at the South Holland Centre in Spalding tomorrow (Saturday, November 16) at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

This murder mystery thriller is full of family secrets, chilling motives and a tangled web of lies.

The action takes place through the thick fog of the English countryside, when a lost traveller whose car has broken down stumbles up to a manor house looking for assistance .

There he finds the owner of the house, Richard Warwick, shot dead in his wheelchair and his wife standing nearby holding a gun.

When the wife confesses to the murder, the unexpected guest agrees to give her an alibi.

But when the police arrive they discover that no alibis are fool proof and no members of the family are free from the entanglements that Richard Warwick tied them up in.

The show is directed by James Emmett-Laing and produced by Lauren Bullock and Kay Wood. Tickets cost £12 per person and can be purchased by visiting the South Holland Centre website or calling the box office on 01775 764777.

The South Holland Centre will also be showing Act II Theatre Company’s, The Time Machine, on Wednesday, November 20.

Promised to be an uplifting production, the Act II cast will dance to a soundtrack of songs from the last 100 years as Benny and and Enid find themselves whirling through time on a tour of music.

The show will follow their journey to try and stop wicked Professor Waxwork, who hopes to wide out music forever. Tickets cost £12 and £10 for concession.
