A giant 4.5kg Toblerone is being sold at the Cadbury Outlet store in Springfields Outlet Shopping and Leisure, Spalding

Could you get your mouth around this? A whopping one of a kind chocolate bar – which weighs 4.5 kilograms - is now up for grabs at a shop.

The jaw-dropping Toblerone, which is 78cm long, is being sold at the Cadbury store at Springfields Outlet Shopping and Leisure, in Spalding, for £75.

The bar – which is made up of 10.4cm high triangles – is the only one at the popular store, which opened at the shopping centre in March last year.

Store manager Laura Davis said: “My first reaction was that it is huge. It’s incredible and it is very heavy.

“I have been getting the customers to hold it because no one believes that it is real. Everyone just thinks it’s hollow.

“Nobody has been tempted to buy it yet but I know it won’t be long until someone does. We have had to keep it behind the till as we are scared of it being stolen if we left it on the shelf.”

This is the first time that the team has sold super sized chocolate bars and assistant manager Andrea Leigh estimates that it would take two weeks to eat.

She said: “We noticed that extra large chocolate has been a massive craze on social media. This was the first time we’ve ever had it in store and we are hoping it will bring in some more customers as it is a big attraction.

“I definitely think it will be a big sensation and we’ve already received a lot of reactions on Facebook which is a good sign.

“I would say it could take at least a good two weeks to eat the whole thing, depending on your sweet tooth. It would also make a great present for Mother’s Day or Easter – I’d be happy is someone bought it for me!”

Adam Whittaker, Retail Marketing Manager for Springfields, has been pleased with the response.

He said: “There has been a huge level of interest in it from shoppers since it arrived, it's quite unique and you don't really find anything like it anywhere else.

“The giant Toblerone is the biggest bar that we've ever had and it is the only one in the store.”

The Cadbury Outlet store is also currently celebrating its first birthday, after moving onto the Springfields site in February 2023.

Other sizes and flavours of the Swiss chocolate brand are available in store and include white chocolate, honey & almond, and orange twist.

The store has also released its Easter range including seasonal bouquets and Easter eggs.
