South Holland District Council collects additional £3million in tax




Almost £3million additional council tax has been collected by South Holland District Council in the last year.

The authority had collected 82.6% of the council tax due in quarter three of the last financial year, a report to the last Performance Monitoring Panel meeting stated.

A council spokesman said: “Despite collection and recovery being challenging in the current economic climate, almost £3million additional Council Tax has been collected in 2023 compared to the end of December 2022.”

Earlier this month, the council approved a three per cent increase in its share of the bill – which will mean that Band D properties will be paying £201.42 to help fund the authorities services such as refuse collection.
