Lincolnshire County Council's new top team revealed

The new leadership team of Lincolnshire County Council has been revealed - with no place at the top table for any of South Holland’s councillors.

Coun Martin Hill is staying on as leader of the authority following the Conservative Party’s election victory this month.

Spalding East councillor Eddy Poll had been on the council’s cabinet - but narrowly lost his seat to Rob Gibson of South Holland Independents. His role as executive member for waste has been taken by Saltfleet’s Daniel McNally.

Coun Patricia Bradwell is deputy leader and will continue to look after children’s services, while Richard Davies and Colin Davie keep their roles with highways and economic development respectively.

Bourne North and Morton’s Sue Woolley looks after NHS Liaison.

Coun Hill said: “I’m pleased to announce the make-up of the new executive and the councillors who will be leading the services we provide for the people of Lincolnshire.

“We have a very strong manifesto which is about keeping council tax low, providing good quality services, and also supporting an ambitious programme of building and development – not only roads but also schools and broadband.

“During the election period there was a very strong message from the public that they continue to be concerned with potholes and fly-tipping, so we will be targeting these areas with more support. And we’ll continue to provide strong, effective support for our most vulnerable residents of all ages where it is needed.

“We’ll also be campaigning to secure more funding for the authority. It’s essential we get a fairer deal from government to help us fund the services people deserve.”

The full cabinet is as follows:

  • Martin Hill OBE (Leader) - Resources, Communications and Commissioning
  • Patricia Bradwell OBE (Deputy Leader) - Children's Services, Community Safety and Procurement
  • Richard Davies - Highways, Transport and IT
  • Colin Davie - Economic Development, Environment and Planning
  • Sue Woolley - NHS Liaison, Community Engagement, Registration and Coroners
  • Richard Butroid - People Management, Legal and Corporate Property
  • Wendy Bowkett - Adult Care and Public Health
  • Lindsey Cawrey - Fire & Rescue and Cultural Services
  • Danny McNally - Waste and Trading Standards
