Spalding staff help in wonderful fundraising effort

Packaging company Coveris has made nearly £4,000 from a raffle in its ongoing quest to raise funds and awareness for CLIC Sargent.

The company’s sites in Spalding, Boston, Wisbech and St Neots were inspired to fund raise for the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people in legacy of one its staff members.

In 2013, Steve Callaway tragically lost his life to pancreatic cancer; he was a dedicated supporter of CLIC Sargent and Coveris has continued to support the charity in his memory.

For many years the company has organised a Christmas raffle amongst other office fundraising activities, and this year it raised £3,729.

Donna Wilton, who organises the raffle, said: “I’m really proud of all my colleagues for raising such a fantastic amount and we can’t thank our suppliers enough for getting involved.”

Holly Eyre, fundraising engagement manager for Lincolnshire at CLIC Sargent, said: “We can’t thank everyone at Coveris enough, their Christmas raffle has been a huge success!”
