Spalding-area Covid-19 cases nearly four times the national average

South Holland continues to have a Covid-19 infection rate way above the national average.

Whereas the average area in England has 34 cases per 100,000 people in the week March 4-March 10, the rate for our district is 131 per 100,000.

That is nearly four times the national average, although the figure is 12 down on the previous week.

There have now been a total of 4,870 cases in South Holland, with 187 coronavirus-related deaths registered up to February 26.

Up to March 7, 34,170 people in the district have had the first dose.

Nationally, there have been 125,516 deaths and 4,258,438 cases.
