‘Delighted’ organisers welcome more than 1,000 people to the Ti Cats and Cakes International Cat Show at Springfields Events Centre
Organisers of a popular cat show say they feel ‘delighted’ after more than 1,000 people visited the quirky event.
The Ti-Cats and Cakes International Cat Show returned for another successful weekend at Springfields Events Centre in Spalding – and saw 155 cat breeds compete for the top spot.
Judges from California, Texas, Canada and Austria flew in, to share their expertise at the ‘Purring in a Winter Wonderland’ event.
Visitors were able to enjoy a selection of shopping opportunities, a ‘meet the breeds’ area and cat agility.
Stefen Winman, who is one of the organisers, said: “We are absolutely delighted with how it went on the weekend.
“We had our highest number of cat breeds attend and saw more than 1,000 people walk through the doors over the course of the weekend – it was great.
“The cat agility was hilarious. Trying to get a cat to do something you want it to do, never goes down very well.
“We are seeing more people interact with our events and we are absolutely delighted with that. The amount of people who turn up and don’t really know what to expect, but then say to us ‘wow this is really good’ is a common thing we see at these events and we are seeing a lot of reoccurring faces who come every year.”
Some of the cat breeds visitors could see included the British Shorthair, Bengal, Burmese, American Shorthair, Savannah, American Curl and a Toyger.
Plans are already well underway for next year’s show, which will be taking place on Saturday and Sunday, January 10 and 11 2026.
