Wyberton dental practice is registering patients from South Holland

A dental practice at Wyberton is offering to take NHS patients from South Holland.

Boston Dental Centre, in Saundergate Lane, has seven dentists and practice manager Helen Patchett says two dentists are currently taking on NHS patients.

Mrs Patchett said the practice already has a number of patients travelling from Spalding.

We reported in October that NHS England had named JDSP Dental Ltd as the preferred bidder for an 8am-8pm NHS dental surgery to open on March 1, 2020 in Winsover Road.

NHS England wants to open an "extended access" dental service in Spalding but, so far, no preferred bidder has been found although a spokesman said options are being explored.

JDSP was one of two surgeries due to launch in January this year but neither one opened due to an inability to recruit dentists.
