Couple are among first residents of new Donington estate
A couple are among the first residents of an estate of affordable homes.
David and Tracey Love were presented with chocolates and flowers after purchasing a two bedroom shared ownership home on The Maltings development in Donington.
Cross Keys Homes (CKH) and Seagate Homes have built 40 affordable homes at The Maltings after receiving a grant of more than £2.4million from Homes England.
Mrs Love said, “We never thought we would be able to purchase a property at our age, but when we looked around the two-bedroom show home at Donington and into how shared ownership works, we knew it was the perfect way forward for us.
“The whole journey into buying our shared ownership home ran smoothly and quickly from start to finish. We are delighted with our new home and are ever so grateful to Cross Keys Homes for making this possible for us.”
They were presented with gifts by CKH’s Sales Executive, Anj Dawson and Seagate Homes’ Managing Director, Adam Murfet and Technical Director, Lee Russell.
CKH’s Chief Executive, Claire Higgins, added: “We are committed to building as many new affordable homes as we possibly can in the eastern region to help provide the much-needed local housing provision that is required.
“We are delighted to have developed these new homes in Donington and are looking forward to building a further 32 new homes as we begin phase two of our development works with Seagate Homes.
“We hope that David and Tracey, and all those who move into these new homes in Donington will be truly happy living there.”
Adam Murfet, Managing Director from Seagate Homes, added: “We are delighted to have been involved in the construction of this development in collaboration with Cross Keys Homes. At Seagate Homes we are committed to delivering high quality homes, and we hope that David and Tracey enjoy their new home and feel welcomed as part of the growing community.”
