Doctor Who companion Peri Brown - aka Nicola Bryant - latest guest confirmed to appear at Spalding Comicon
Another star of the Doctor Who series has been added to the guest list for an upcoming Comicon.
Former Doctor Colin Baker and companion Sophie Aldred - who featured as Ace on the show in the 1980s - have already been confirmed as appearing at the Spalding Comicon later this year.
But an additional treat for Whovians has been announced.
Nicola Bryant - who played Peri Brown for 36 episodes of the show between 1984 and 1986 - has also been booked to appear and meet with fans at the event on September 7.
The 63-year-old - who has also appeared Star Trek Continues and Blackadder’s Christmas Carol - worked alongside Peter Davidson and Colin Baker on the hit BBC show.
“Nicola Bryant will be attending our show to round off our Doctor Who group,” a Spalding Comicon statement added.
“We are super excited to see Nicola and we hope you enjoy meeting her too.”
There will be a real Doctor Who theme at this year’s event, which will also feature a series of props from the show, including a TARDIS, Daleks and Cybermen.
Ross Mullan who has played The Silence and The Teller on the BBC show will also appear.
Other guests attending will be Hattie Hayridge, best known for playing ship computer Holly in BBC sci-fi sitcome Red Dwarf.
Also booked to appear will be Tony McCarthy, whose credits include Deadpool & Wolverine and Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, 7’1” Ross Sambridge - who has played a wookie and Supreme Leader Snoke in Star Wars movies - plus Craig David Dowsett and Maria Taylor, both Razzie award winners for their appearances in cult horror movie Winnie the Pooh: Bloood and Honey.
Other attractions include live wrestling and retro gaming plus trade stalls and meet and greets.
The Spalding Comicon will be held on Saturday, September 7 at Springfields Exhibition Centre.
