Spalding doctors officially open new Beechfield West surgery

Doctors have officially opened a new Spalding surgery branch.

Beechfield Medical Centre has taken over and revamped the former Pennygate Surgery which had stood empty for the last few years.

The ‘Beechfield West’ site was opened on Saturday morning by Dr Nazeer Khan and Dr Janarthanam Babu, pictured.

Practice manager Melissa Lawson estimated that 'several hundred' people went along to the open day on Saturday.

She said: "It was a fantastic day and nice to welcome so many patients to speak to them.

"Everyone who came was really positive."

The building has undergone a renovation project in recent months which has included new fittings, flooring and plumbing.

The re-opening of this medical centre comes after the closure of Spalding GP Surgery and the distribution of its 3,000 patients by Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board.
