Visitors enjoyed the number of dog classes, refreshments, children’s games, bric-a-brac, raffle, barbeque and more.

Due to the heat, organisers made the decision to run two rings alongside each other for the dog show to shorten the length of time dogs and their owners were standing around in blaing summer sun.

There was also a number of paddling pools and other cooling aids in place for all of the pooches.

Organiser Marlene Aspden said: “ Despite the heat and the changes we made to the event to try to keep everyone and their dogs cool, it went very well and we received lots of positive comments. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves."
