More than £1,000 raised by Donington family for Movement 4Memory at Spalding dementia café
A Donington family went the extra mile to raise money for people in South Holland with dementia.
Marilyn Inglis (pictured on right presenting cheque to Sue Elphick) invited family and friends to give money towards a weekly dementia café called Movement 4Memory based at Tonic Health in Spalding.
Total donations of more than £1,000 were presented to the group by Marilyn who said: "My mum Brenda has dementia and so we attend Movement 4Memory from time to time.
"As a family, we raise money for Dementia UK but we thought it would be nice to put some funding into the local community.
"When my mum had her 70th birthday last year, we asked family and friends to donate money to Movement 4Memory.
"We also had a New Year's Eve party at Donington Community Centre where all the money went to the dementia café.
"I'd like to thank all my friends, family and everybody who attended both events, all those who donated and helped arranged everything."
