It's joy for Donington fundraiser Logan (8) as he gets a brand new BMX
An anonymous donor turned heartbreak to joy for cancer charity fundraiser Logan Copland.
Logan (8), who raised more than £800 for Macmillan Cancer Support, was devastated after somone stole the wheels and seat from his treasured BMX.
Logan raised the funds in memory of his dad, Lee, who passed away aged just 36 in 2017.
A reader moved by the Donington lad's story bought Logan his first choice of a brand new Voodoo Zaka bike from Halfords, in Spalding's Holland Market.
The gift includes a locking system that loops through the wheels.
After learning his story, Halfords helped make Logan's day too by contributing a generous discount.
Logan chatted to Halfords sales assistant and bike mechanic Connor Ford, who is himself a highly skilled semi-professional BMX rider, and was inspired by a video clip of Connor in action.
Logan's mum Keeley said: "Thank you so much, not for just making me so happy and restoring my faith in people but restoring Logan’s faith and making him super happy too."
