Man arrested on suspicion of spraying suspected noxious substance after Spalding crash
A man has been arrested on suspicion of spraying a suspected noxious substance into another vehicle following a crash.
Police were called to Albion Street, in Spalding, just before 4.30pm yesterday (Tuesday, April 29) after receiving reports a collision between a blue Audi A3 and blue Skoda Fabia.
A force statement said: “It was reported the driver of one of the vehicles has sprayed a suspected noxious substance into one of the vehicles at the scene.
“A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a controlled drug, on suspicion of possession of a bladed knife and on suspicion of spraying a noxious substance. He remains in custody. “
The closure of Albion Street last night created heavy congestion in the town.
