Driver dies following collision with HGV at Wyberton Fen, police confirm

A motorist has died following a collision with an HGV, police have confirmed.

The incident took place on the A1121 Boardsides at Wyberton Fen on the evening of Thursday, June 12.

Police confirmed a male driver passed away on Saturday (June 14).

“We are saddened to confirm that a 34-year-old man has died following a collision,” a Lincolnshire Police statement said.

“The driver of the BMW was taken to hospital where he sadly passed away two days later.”

The road was closed as a result and reopened the next day.

The statement added: “Our thoughts are with his family at this deeply distressing time and specialist officers are supporting them.”
