Crowland Going Forward Music Festival for people with disabilities, families and carers to enjoy live music featuring Lauren Porter, The Variety Duo, Benji D, 11th Hour and Crossfire
A festival to give people with disabilities their families and carers an opportunity to enjoy live music will be taking place.
The sixth Going Forward Music Festival at Southview Community Primary School, Crowland enables disabled people of all ages to take part in festivities which includes live bands and food stalls.
Entertainment features Lauren Porter, The Variety Duo, Benji D, 11th Hour and Crossfire and preparations are underway by organisers Allyson and Kevin Commons and Rita Stacey from Spalding’s Going Forward Social Group plus volunteers helping with festivities which include bands and food stalls.
Mrs Commons said: “We put it on so that people with disabilities can enjoy an event that they can’t normally access.
“Everyone is in the same boat and it is a safe space for them to enjoy live music.
“There will be activities for young adults to get involved with and the younger ones can also interact.”
Visitors will be able to enjoy being in a non-judgemental environment and facilities include a specialist changing toilet.
Bands will be performing live and there will be the Linkage Sensory Bus, two large marquees and charity stalls.
This fun event is happening on Saturday, July 27 from 11am until 7pm.
Tickets cost £15 each with one free carer.
