Your guide to the 2025 Spalding Flower Parade
The 2025 Spalding Flower Parade is almost upon us — with thousands of visitors set to enjoy the town’s showpiece event.
This year’s volunteer-run parade begins and ends at Springfields Exhibition Centre in Camel Gate — with the Castle site out of action due to a pending revamp — and the floats are set to get rolling from 11am today (May 10).
Forecasters are predicting plenty of sunshine, with the Met Office suggesting temperatures could top 20C by the time the event is in full swing.

Before it begins, here’s a quick guide to the day itself and what you can expect to see:
What time is the parade?
The 2025 Spalding Flower Parade is set to begin at about 11am. Seasoned paradegoers will know that the event can take a couple of hours, with the floats unlikely to return until about 1pm.
Where can I see the parade?
The route has been tweaked this year, with work beginning on the Castle Sports Complex revamp. Floats will leave Springfields Events and Conference Centre in Camelgate and then head along Roman Bank. It will turn onto Holbeach Road and then head into Queens Road. From there it goes along Halmergate and Church Street before passing across High Bridge and into the town centre. It then heads through New Road and into Pinchbeck Road before turning into West Elloe Avenue. The floats then go across Twin Bridge roundabout and back to Roman Bank.
Where can I park?
A park and ride service will run from Spalding Rugby Club. Smart Cabs is also offering a park and ride service from Roythornes Solicitors and Duncan and Toplis in Enterprise Way, as well as Abbey Print in Benner Road. More information about both services can be found here. The grammar and high schools also offer paid parking on the day. It’s worth bearing in mind that there will be a number of road closures - details here.
What will I see?
The Spalding Flower Parade them for 2025 is musicals. Expect to see floats inspired by The Sound of Music, Wicked, Mary Poppins, Grease, Only Fools and Horses and much more. The full list of floats is here.
