Spalding's Wygate Park Academy look up to the stars

Pupils at Spalding’s Wygate Park Academy have been investigating the stars from inside a special pop-up planetarium which visited their school.

All year groups took part in sessions with Sleaford-based StarLincs. Youngsters enjoyed a journey into space and learned all about the planets from a unique environment.

Wygate Park Academy teacher Shaun Thompson said: “To celebrate Space Week, every child at Wygate Park had the opportunity to visit the planetarium.

“It was fantastic to see the children so excited and talking about this incredible learning opportunity. The inflatable planetarium is a self-contained darkened classroom which facilitates intensive study sessions about our solar system.”
