Eyewitness to Spalding bus crash helped woman as she lay under the bus
An eyewitness to last night's bus crash had said how she heard the victim's 'horrifying scream'.
The woman, who did not want to be named, helped to support the victim as she lay underneath the vehicle before the emergency services arrived at Spalding Bus Station in Winfrey Avenue.

The witness said that she had seen the woman get off a bus and saw her crossing the road near the public toilets.
She said: "Then the bus drove off suddenly and turned in the woman's direction, then I heard that sound like something or someone was hit, and the horrifying scream of the lady.
"The bus then stopped and a driver and a young man got off.
"The lady was laying trapped under the bus just before last wheel."
The witness said that she wasn't sure what had happened but said the victim worked nearby and asked for her colleagues to help.
She went onto say: "One of her colleagues came with us to calm her down.
"She was in pain and said she couldn’t feel her legs. She had wound on her forehead which was bleeding.
"All the emergency services arrived quite quickly. Police were first.
"I was next to her and tried to calm her down by holding her hand.
"Then the ambulance came and they gave her something to kill the pain. Her coat was all ripped by bus.
"Then the fire brigade came and we were told to leave because they were about to lift the bus to rescue her.
"We were told to move to the far end of bus station. They covered the area with some green screens before they moved the lady to ambulance.
"I’m hoping that she is ok."
Police say they are investigating the incident and have not made any arrests. They have described the victim's as having 'serious' injuries.
The road reopened at about 2am.
Spalding firefighters were called to the scene to free the woman.
A spokesperson for Stagecoach East has confirmed that one of its buses was involved in the collision.
said: "One of our vehicles was involved in an incident in which a pedestrian was injured at around 18:00 on Thursday 22nd December at Spalding Bus Station. We understand the person involved was taken to hospital. Our first thoughts are for their welfare.
“Safety is our absolute priority and we will carry out a thorough investigation into the cause of this incident.”
