Faces in the crowd at the 2025 Spalding Flower Parade

The Spalding Flower Parade attracts crowds of all ages — and from far and wide.

Our team caught up with visitors across the route as they turned out in the sunshine to see the musicals-themed parade.

Here are just some of the friendly faces we came across in the crowds:

Phoebe Haver from Bourne was — at just four months old — one of the youngest attendees.

She joined the fun alongside mum Caitlin.

103-year-old Joan Simpson, of Grange Drive in Spalding, was one of the oldest onlookers. She lives independently with carers and turned out in Halmer Gate to see the floats.

She said: “It’s excellent that we have the parade. It’s important and Spalding deserves it.

“We are also lucky with the weather this year.”

Jane Barron from Stafford was last at the parade aged 13 with the Huddersfield District Association Raleigh Camp.

She told reporter Jenny Beake: “It means a lot to be here - I have lots of childhood memories.”
