Greencore factory workers skydive for Diabetes and Air Ambulance while Holbeach Chosen charity shop donates generously in 2012

By Libby Mayne

A team of 14 Greencore factory workers skydived for Diabetes UK and Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance back in 2012.

Steph Thompson and Ken Williams roped the others in to take part in the challenge after coming up with the idea during a night out.

Steph said: “I am totally petrified. I don’t like heights and I keep looking up at the sky and just going ‘eek’”.

They chose the air ambulance charity because ‘you never know when you might need it’ and Diabetes UK as one of the team lost a daughter to the condition.

Meanwhile, Holbeach charity shop Chosen celebrated its first birthday ten years ago by giving £2,000 to Holbeach Air Training Corps to enable them to purchase a flight simulator.

Volunteer Jill Hudson-Peacock said: “We would like to thank our customers and donors, who had given so much so generously.”
