Moulton Chapel Youth and Community Centre raises £255 at ‘fantastic’ Easter egg hunt




Some 70 youngsters got to take part in a fundraising Easter egg hunt at a community centre over the weekend.

The new free event took place at Moulton Chapel Youth and Community Centre on Saturday and raised £255 towards the upkeep of the centre.

Kids followed a trail finding fun questions to answer during the event which was organised by the centre’s committee. They also decorated hats with Easter crafts and each entrant received a prize.

Nicola Smith, treasurer said: “It was a really fantastic turnout.

“We were lucky to have donations from district councillors to buy the eggs as prizes.”

The children also got to play a lucky dip and took part in fun activities and competitions.

Parents too were able to enjoy some tasty treats including home-made cakes and hot refreshments.

Proceeds from the day will go towards much needed funds for the community centre.
