Fleet Hargate cafe on A17 will be closing doors at weekend

A well-known cafe will be closing its doors for the final time this weekend.

The Farm Cafe on the A17 will be serving its last customers on Christmas Eve - but the site's farm shop will remain open.

Owner Bill Payne (85) has been running the cafe for more than 50 years but has now taken the decision to embark on a well earned retirement.

The site, which is off the A17, was put on the market earlier this year with the price tag of £1,250,000.

The 3.95 acres site includes a lorry park, outside storage and two separate buildings extending to more than 14,700 sq ft.

The cafe had hosted live music in the past and had been a well-known stop for supporters of Norwich City Football Club.
