Ayscoughfreeze at Ayscoughfee Hall in Spalding cancelled due to ‘potential for bad weather’

A festive event due to take place tonight (Saturday, December 21) has been cancelled.

Organisers have taken the decision to cancel Ayscoughfreeze, which was due to take place at Ayscoughfee Hall in Spalding, due to “the potential for bad weather”.

In a statement, Mark Le Sage said: “Unfortunately we can plan for everything other than the climate.

“I’d like to thank all the bands, performers, stallholders, Ellie at Ayscoughfee Cafe, Julia Knight, Rob Gibson and Ingrid Sheard.

“A great deal of hard work has gone into this event ofr the area but the one thing we can’t control is the weather.

“So sorry and thanks for all your support.”

It was the first time the festive event had been planned.
