Spalding Flower Parade festive fundraising Winter Wonderland to take place at Ayscoughfee Hall Museum and Gardens
The gardens of a historic hall will be transformed into a festive setting to raise funds towards a showpiece event.
A winter wonderland event will take place at Ayscoughfee Hall Museums and Gardens in aid of next year’s Spalding Flower Parade and sellers are now being encouraged to sign up.
Organisers are promising a ‘truly magical family event’ including games, entertainment, craft stalls to raise vital funds for the parade and ‘give back to the community.’
Volunteer Robert Adnams said: “We have already have 10 vendors and are looking for more.
“The café will be open and there will be things like jacket potatoes, chestnuts and it will be really festive.
“It should be good with a winter walk through the trees which will be all lit up.”
Last year’s fundraising festivities took place at the Castle Sports Complex but with work expected to be taking place this winter there has been a change of venue.
Mr Adnams added: “It was a massive event last year.
“We used the whole of the Castle complex and had a marquee.
“Even though we are downsizing it will be a great family event.”
There will be a special guest - the big man himself Santa will be visiting to see who is on the naughty or nice list on Saturday, December 7 from midday until 6pm.
