Fire crews called to Crowland hedge blaze

Two fire crews were called out to deal with a hedge blaze.
Firefighters from Spalding and Holbeach attended the scene in Crowland this afternoon (April 11).
The incident occurred at 1.25pm.
“Crews attended Dowsdale Bank, Crowland,” a Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue statement read.
“Five metres of conifer hedging was alight. Crews extinguished using one hose reel.
“The cause was an electricity cable igniting the hedge.”
