Holbeach Firefighters drafted into Dunston near Lincoln to help protect homes from flooding
Firefighters were drafted into help protect homes from flooding.
Officers from Holbeach Fire Station were called up to Dunston, near Lincoln, to pump flood water away from residential properties.
Heavy rain brought by Storm Babet over the weekend has created a lot of flooding problems to the north of the county. Up to 70 homes in Fiskerton were advised to evacuate yesterday.
Holbeach Fire Station is one of the county’s flood pump specialists.
A spokesman said: “On Tuesday Holbeach fire crew and flood pump attended a village near Lincoln to help prevent water from entering homes at one of the worst flooding seen for many years

Holbeach Fire Station is currently manned by nine firefighters and they are hoping to attract a further three or four people to bring the complement up to 12.
