Sessions House owners decorate iconic building to attract visitors to Spalding

A huge floral display on the front of a town’s historic building has been put up by its owners to attract visitors.

Andrew Blach and Erika Yao have decorated The Sessions House, Spalding’s historic court house, with red roses to entice shoppers into the town centre and spread some love around Valentine’s Day today (Friday).

Following worries aired by independent traders after another shop, Robert Goddard, has announced it will be closing, the couple have been discussing how they can help the town’s struggling high street.

They said: “We want to give people a reason to come into the town centre and something to be proud of.

“We care about this community and the role we play in it.

“We hope this gives the residents of Spalding something to smile about - and more importantly to come into the town centre and spend some time here.”

The couple hopes that shoppers will continue to support independent business in the town centre and in The Crescent.

They added: “We will continue to make efforts like this to support the town.

“We hope people join us to make Spalding a better place for us all.”
