Spalding Flower Parade to feature on TV show Susan Calman’s Grand days Out this week
Spalding Flower Parade will feature on the television this week.
Scottish comedian an Strictly star Susan Calman visited the town in May to film preparations for the return of the popular event after a 10-year hiatus.
During her time in the area she and the crew visited Cowbit Road’s R. Chappell and Sons to meet organiser Stephen Timewell, his wife Sandra and volunteers who were pinning flowers to the floats in preparation for the big event.
“It was fun and such good promotion for the town and the parade,” Stephen said at the time.
And now the day’s action will appear on the small screen this Friday.
The third episode of Susan Calman’s Grand Days Out will air on Friday, October 20 at 8pm, broadcast on Channel 5.
The hour-long episode will follow Susan’s visit through Lincolnshire as she visits the Fens as well as Sir Isaac Newton's family home and Lincoln Cathedral, also trying soapbox racing.
Previous episodes have seen her visit Hampshire plus the Pennines and Northumberland.
