Spalding brothers on sponsored keepy-uppy challenge for Bobby Moore Fund
Two football-mad brothers will be honing their skills while raising cash for a good cause this month.
Spalding’s Noah and Elliot Ford are undertaking a sponsored keepy-uppy challenge every day in November - with proceeds going to the Bobby Moore Fund.
The brothers, who play for Young Dons, will practice juggling the ball for a minimum of 30 minutes every day throughout the month for a very personal cause.
“One of our very close family members has just been diagnosed with bowel cancer and is due to start their treatment in November, so what better time to raise more awareness and funds for this cause?” explained Noah (9) and Elliot (6) on their Cancer Research UK fundraising page.
“As lots of you know, we are both football mad, and we are going to complete keepy-uppies every day in November to help tackle bowel cancer.
“One-hundred per cent of the money raised will go towards funding pioneering bowel cancer research.”
The Bobby Moore Fund was set up by the World Cup winning England captain’s widow Stephanie shortly after his death in 1993, aged just 51.
So far the youngsters have raised more than £150.
