Fusion Home Improvements of Sutterton and New View windows of King's Lynn join forces

When two businesses worked so often with each other it seemed they are merging into one, there was only one solution!

Richard Fairbanks, of Fusion Home Improvements, based in Sutterton, and Wayne Pridmore, owner of New View windows, from King's Lynn, who had been friends for about five years, realised earlier this year that their businesses and skills were a perfect fit and teamed up to operate from Fusion's Sutterton site.

The pair had met through Wayne's dad, Michael, who owns South Lincs Glass, on Sutterton Enterprise Park, with Fusion putting plenty of business their way.

And so New View Windows incorporating Fusion Ltd was created and started operating in July.

"Now we can both focus on one aspect and what we are each good at," said Richard. Wayne and his team do the installs and I get the business in.

"We put the two together and it has created an extra 25 per cent on what we could do before as we were pushing as far as we could with the people we had. But with six more guys it makes a huge idfference. everyone's really happy and everyone is on board.

" We had been talking about it for ages, there were a lot of particular things to sort out. But you cn spend months talking, planning and in meetings and you're not earning any money!"

Currently, the most popular service the company offers is for 'warm tiled roof' conservatories, accounting for around 40 per cent of business. "When people come to change their conservatory roof from glass or polycarbonate, the warm roof is much more efficient. When people look to have an extension, a warm roof conservatory takes only four weeks to construct, so the time on site is minimal and that's one of the biggest costs."

Next for the team is the development of their show site at Sutterton. "We have two conservatories ther, but we want six or seven," said Richard. "But we're just too busy at the moment! Hopefully, we'll get some done over Christmas."
