Fun and games at Branch Bros open day in Holbeach

Family-owned building suppliers Branch Brothers (Bros) celebrated the opening of its new Hobeach site with an open day for the public.

The event featured games, including darts with a cement mixer holding the dartboard in place, and guess the value of a barrow full of drinks.

Visitors were also treated to a full English breakfast and a barbecue.

Branch manager Ben Callow said: "The day went really well and there was a constant flow of people, with a few hundred visitors turning up.

"We got through 500 barbecue rolls over the course of the event."

Mr Callow explained that the open day was a chance for the public to find out more about the business, with volunteers from LIVES First Responders collecting donations on the day.

He said: "It was a day for people to see our products and to show the public where we are in Holbeach so they could return at another time.

"We held an open day at our Bourne site, which gave us the idea to do it again in Holbeach."
