Lincolnshire and Rutland readers share their pictures of the Northern Lights

Residents across Lincolnshire and Rutland have been treated to spectacular displays in the skies, with the Northern Lights visible.

There has been a rare opportunity to glimpse the wonders of the aurora borealis - which is more visible than normal thanks to a geomagnetic storm.

We appealed for readers to send in their pictures of the amazing displays - and you didn’t disappoint. We’ve been overwhelmed with the response and below is a flavour of the pictures we have received.
