Kirton garden centre and restaurant not closing - owner

The owner of a garden centre and restaurant has reiterated to its customers that it will not be closing.

Part of the Rainbow Landscaping Centre in Kirton has been granted planning permission to be converted into a car sales and MOT centre.

And while some customers have thought this meant the centre - as well as the on-site Grange Restaurant - was closing, owner Pauline Pocklington says that is not the case.

“The restaurant is definitely not closing,” she said, stressing that part of the site was ‘diversifying’.

“We’ve had people come in and ask if tit’s closing. But it’s not, it’s staying open.”

Boston Borough Council planners recently granted retrospective planning permission for the change of use of part of the site.

“The application site includes a retail area and restaurant, barns and car parking area with access points off London Road and Fishmere End Road,” the planning officer report said.

“The previous use (of the MOT area) was for storing products for the garden centre, which also forms part of the site.”
