Spalding, Moulton, Whaplode and Weston St Mary's primary schools get planting thanks to Baytree




Pupils at four primary schools will be developing their green fingers thanks to a garden centre.

Baytree Garden Centre has presented daffodil bulbs, pots and compost to Moulton, Whaplode, Weston St Mary's and Wygate Park Academy.

Mark Elliott and Sue Worth, from the popular Weston garden centre, went along to each of the schools to not only present the bulbs but to also give a talk to the youngsters.

Mr Elliott said: "The children were absolutely fantastic and they were really enthusiastic to get involved."

Baytree has also been running a number of bulb planting workshops which have also proven to be incredibly popular with youngsters.

Mr Elliott added: "The idea of growing something yourself really connected with young people and it is a great thing for them as they are the next generation of gardeners."
