Cadent gas works in Pinchbeck won’t finish until next week
Temporary traffic lights in Pinchbeck will not be removed until next week due to ‘unexpected complications’.
Gas supplier Cadent has been carrying out roadworks in the centre of the village since the start of the month which have added to the area’s traffic woes.
Queues to get through the works have been seen stretching back beyond Birchgrove Garden Centre with large tailbacks which had been made worse by the works on Wardentree Lane.
Engineers had been aiming to finish the works by today (Friday) but a Cadent spokesman has told this newspaper there has been a delay due to some ‘unexpected complications’.
He added that it is now anticipated that the works will be completed and the traffic controls removed by the end of Tuesday (May 16).
There are concerns that this will have an impact on the traffic coming into Spalding tomorrow (Saturday) for the Spalding Flower Parade.
Separate works on Wardentree Lane are hoped to be finished by tomorrow morning.
