Spalding and Pinchbeck Good Neighbour Scheme wants to hear from people who need help
Anyone in the community in need of support is being urged to call the Spalding and Pinchbeck Good Neighbour Scheme.
An appeal for volunteer helpers earlier in the year was a success - and now the group is on the lookout for people who need their help.
The team behind the scheme say they are hoping to help combat isolation and loneliness.
They want to reach out to stay-at-home parents, elderly members of the community or those who might be recovering from visits to hospital.
They’re on hand and ready to offer lifts, walk pets, help shopping, assist with paperwork or help people to find trusted traders for work that needs doing around the home.
All ‘good neighbours’ have had security checks and training.
Committee member Val Gemmell said: “We realise one of the hardest things is to reach out for help and sometimes it is difficult to know where to go for this.”
She added: “For whatever reason you need help, we are at the end of a phone line.”
