Fundraising tea at Gosberton Public Hall

Afternoon tea was served at Gosberton Public Hall for a good cause in the village.

The event, organised by trustees of the 146-year-old village hall, included craft stalls, displays of wildlife painting and demonstrations for visitors to take part in.

Trustee Rona Perry said: ”One of our guests was demonstrating modular origami, while another was explaining their paintings.”

Trustee Rona Perry said: ”One of our guests was demonstrating modular origami, while another was explaining their paintings.”

Visitors were also offered a range of cakes to choose from, sales of which helped organisers of the afternoon tea to raise nearly £200 towards future plans for the hall.

Rona said: “We want to use some of the money raised to replace 12 very old-fashioned fireplaces inside the hall.

“Lincolnshire Coop has also very kindly offered to repair and repaint the hall’s windows at no costs to the hall.

“Overall the day was a success, despite the bad weather.”
