Jackalope Joe set to pop up at sites around Spalding as popular coffee truck returns
Excitement is brewing for customers as a coffee truck is to start popping up on a regular basis outside a town’s pub.
Jackalope Joe is the brainchild of business woman Hannah Joe and can be found at the Royal Mail Cart, Spalding every Friday from April 19.
The entrepreneur, who started her business five years ago, is reintroducing iced coffee and early risers will also be able to sample freshly locally roasted coffee and tasty treats between 8.30am and 11.30am.
And she has added a new location. On Saturday, Jackalope Joe can be found at the Spalding School of Dance, in Rangell Gate, from 8.30am to 11.30am.
Hannah said: “Iced coffee is popular and has really gone boom.
“People drink it through winter as well.
“It is a bit of a treat for people on the way to work and the pub is really supportive.”
The business has been an instant success with coffee lovers following support from South Holland District Council’s Grants for Growth when Hannah was able to purchase a larger 5kg drum roaster.
She said: “People want good coffee.
“I source the coffee myself and roast it here in Spalding.
“It is all about the taste and it it really smooth and people want to support local.”
There is no other independent roastery in the area and the speciality coffees have helped make the business a success.
Hannah said: “People are used to drinking bitter coffee so this is wonderful and a bit exciting.”
Being a business owner means that Hannah can balance family life by working flexible hours.
She employs casual staff for bigger events and friends and family also help out serving delicious treats on offer include cinnamon buns and almond croissants.
Coffee lovers will also find the truck at Lincolnshire Makers Market , Sessions House, Spalding on Saturday, May 4 and at Moulton Chapel Flower Parade on Sunday, May 5 between 10am and 4pm.
