Heavy rain on Sunday caused an issue with access for disabled visitors to a shopping centre.
A reader sent in the above picture and said the storm rain caused problems for disabled guests from visiting Craft Outlet Store in Springfields Outlet Shopping and Leisure in Spalding.
Thunder and lightning rolled over the district on Sunday as Saturday’s heatwave gave way to heavy rain and wind gusts reaching nearly 80mph.
Figures released by the Met Office show that wind gusts reached 77mph in Holbeach – which is high for wind associated with thunder storms – along with 28.4mm of rain within a short period of time.
A spokesperson said: “We are sorry to hear that a customer had difficulties accessing The Craft Outlet.
“Unfortunately, torrential rain as we saw on Sunday, can cause puddling in the gardens.
“We were not made aware of any access issues, however, if we had, our team would have been more than happy to assist.
“Springfields prides itself on delivering the best visitor experience possible for all.”
