Heavy traffic in Surfleet and Pinchbeck as A16 remains closed following fatal collision




Motorists are experiencing heavy traffic this morning as a result of the ongoing A16 closure.

The busy route was closed between the B1180 ‘Greencell roundabout’ and Surfleet Seas End after a serious collision on the road yesterday lunch time involving a a Toyota Auris, white Volvo lorry and a black Vauxhall Meriva.

The crash, which happened shortly after 12.30pm, resulted in the deaths of a man and woman.

The road has been closed for more than 20 hours and remains shut this morning.

Drivers are experiencing long queues along the A152 link road, through Surfleet and Pinchbeck and on Wardentree Lane as they are diverted away from the A16.

It is not yet known when the road will be able to open.
