Ashwood Care Home in Spalding appeal for readers to send birthday cards to resident soon to turn 100 years of age to make day extra special
Staff at a care home are appealing for help to make a milestone birthday for a centenarian ‘extra special’ by ensuring she receives 100 birthday cards on her big day.
Barbara Hays lives in Ashwood Care Home in Spalding and will be turning 100 years old on Monday, February 19, when she will celebrate with a big party.
Her carers in the wellbeing team would like to ask readers to send in birthday cards so that she receives 100 on her special day.
A spokesperson from Ashwood said: “We would like to get her 100 cards to mark her 100th birthday and make her feel extra special.
“Barbara used to be bubbly and chatty but unfortunately now she can’t really talk much anymore.
