Sutton Bridge HGV driver Adam Lochore caught with cannabis after being stopped in Essex
A HGV driver said that being caught with cannabis has led to him halting his drug habit.
Adam Lochore, of Bridge Road in Sutton Bridge, appeared at Lynn Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (May 8), where he admitted having a Class B drug in his possession.
On October 11 last year, Lochore was pulled over in a HGV in Essex for unrelated motoring matters.
Police searched Lochore and found three rolled joints of cannabis.
He was arrested, and later told officers that the drug was for his own use.
Before committing this offence, Lochore was of previous good character.
He appeared unrepresented in court and said: “I got caught by the police with the spliffs - I would have smoked them that evening.
“I quit smoking since the day I got done. I’m sorry for being here.”
Magistrates handed Lochore a six-month conditional discharge and ordered him to pay a £26 victim surcharge and court costs of £85.
