Emily Chappell visited by horse at The Bull Inn in Pinchbeck

Cue the long face jokes - a village pub owner was treated to a surprise visitor.

Emily Chappell welcomed a horse into Pinchbeck's The Bull Inn last weekend - and even jumped on for a ride.

She insisted beforehand that if her carpet was defiled the owner would have to replace it - but luckily it remained intact.

Describing her experience as 'good fun', she also praised the nearly 200 travellers who visited her pub on Saturday.

"I had no worries of the horses not being looked after," she said.

Emily first took on The Bull Inn earlier this year, before celebrating its grand reopening in June.
