Holbeach Meadows Care Home residents enjoyed visit from Boss the horse

Residents at Holbeach Meadows Care Home enjoyed some horseplay recently.

Care Assistant Emma Bishops surprised everyone when she brought along her horse Boss to say hello.

Emma recognised that Boss has the perfect temperament and disposition to be with residents and she knew they would love to see him.

Sweet natured Boss, who is 21, was happy to let everyone fuss over him and enthusiastically accepted some juicy red apples from his new friends.

Deputy Manager Maxine Appleyard said. “When Emma said she would like to bring Boss along to meet residents I was a bit apprehensive, but I needn’t have been, he was gentle and sweet and everyone absolutely loved him.

“It really was a lovely surprise for residents and the team.

“It’s not every day a horse comes to visit us but he will most definitely be a frequent visitor.

“We love Boss the horse.”
