How do you like them apples? Winners galore at West Pinchbeck Village Show
The West Pinchbeck Village Show served up a feast of fine foods and crafts on Saturday (September 9).
Organisers were so pleased to see their hard work supported with new people taking part, in addition to regulars returning to the village hall.
There was a wide range of entries throughout the majority of the different sections.
Prizes were presented by Rev David Sweeting, vicar of the Glen Group.
The Children’s Cup, awarded for the highest number of points gained in the Children’s section, was won by Isla Woodley.
The Ladies’ Perpetual Cup was won by Susie Hall, and the Bernard Parsons Shield by Stuart Cox.
Wendy Houghton won the WI Strawberry Jam Cup, and the cup for the best item in the Cookery class was won by Nicky Boyer for her delicious looking apple pie.
This must have been a difficult decision as there was a lot of competition in this class.
The Derek Kennedy Memorial Cup is presented for the Best in Show, in the opinion of the judge, and this year was awarded to Geoff Brereton for his delightful Fruit and Veg Animal.
