Hair and Beauty Awards winner launches new salon Revive Hair and Beauty in Pinchbeck
An award-winning business woman is proud to take on her new hair and beauty salon — and is hosting an open day to welcome customers.
Chelsea Askey is setting up Revive Hair and Beauty in Pinchbeck after taking over the premises of Killinule - a long-established salon in Knight Street whose owner is retiring - and is opening the doors on January 31.
Having moved from the Isle of Wight, where she ran her own salon, to live in Spalding with her husband, Chelsea’s expertise in blonde and balayage hair styling led to her winning a Best For Blonde at the Hair and Beauty Awards, presented by Britain’s Got Talent’s Jake Quickenden.
She said: “I have been in the industry for 22 years now and I am excited to be an owner.
“I am ready to feel more in control and excited for the future to watch the staff blossom and have a safe space to be happy in.
“I have been able to learn from different experiences in my career and I can adapt the salon to what I need.”
The open day welcomes anyone who wants to pop in and will feature special offers of 50% between February and March to new and existing clients - there will also be nibbles, free goody bags and refreshments.
Chelsea aims to train staff within the industry that she loves.
She said: “I had a really successful business with the academy in the Isle of Wight and I find it really rewarding to bring people into the industry and show what we can offer to people.
“The salon will be changing to offer both hair and beauty and specialising in nails, lashes and brows.
“I am still going through the process to take over the salon and for people to see the difference will be lovely.”
Chelsea, who says she is ‘mega-proud’ of her award she won last June, will employ a team and help them to progress professionally.
She said: “My niche is blonde and balayage and I want to share and build on strengths and knowledge.
“You learn with life experiences and networking in the industry that you can be competitive in a really good way.
“I have learnt how to respect and treat everyone - I want my staff to be happy coming to work.”
